The Earth gives live. Maybe just
our Planet enables conditions for live. We must take care of it, for
ourselves and for the next generations. It’s so sad when know that only
100 years ago man lived in harmony whit nature, and now he is scared for
his future survival. Pollution comes in many forms.
We see it, smell it, taste it and stumble through it. There are many
ecology actions, seminars, projects like this and all this things just
whit hope to wake up the conscience of the human that he should not be a
part of this shameful act – pollution of our only home. But I am scared
that sometimes all our “screams” to protect the Planet are just
“sounds in the desert”, but we must be persistent. In my region is the biggest
capacity in Macedonia for production electric energy called REK. It works
on the principle of coal. Such as consequence of that, there is a
pollution. It is located nearly 12 km north-east from Bitola. Whit legal
rules there should be a green 2 km from the object such as protective
zone. But that is not made. I see this green as a solution of the problem
of pollution in my region. Such as honor, that is the least
thing that we can do, of our mother Planet old 4 600 million years we
dedicate her the date 5 of June such as World Day of Ecology. To be something whole need to
have everything. For our good, protect the Planet because the Planet is
too important for as.
Hello eki My name is Keanika Lunda and I
attend the International School of Bangkok in Bangkok Thailand. I
understand where you come form when talk about the pollution. It is so bad
here in Thailand, well in Bangkok at least. You walk down the street and
you can smell and taste the pollution. When you walk down town the local
bus blow a black cloud of soot on you and you get pollution directly. I
don't really live down town anymore because my mom and I was getting sick
constantly from the pollution. I am originally from the country in the
states and I was not ready for the urban life yet. We live on the out
skirts of the city and my school isn't even down town. I am so thankful
for not having to live in all of that pollution. When I go on my balcony I
look towards the city and I can see the large black cloud of pollution in
the city. The main problem in Bangkok is that it is way over crowded and
everyone has a car or a motorbike and if they don't have either they take
the nasty buses that are un safe for the environment. There isn't much
that I can do for the whole of the city but I have to start out by helping
in my way right. I mean myself I know that If I stop littering that it
won't make a difference against the odds of people but I can be an example
to my self and my friends. I would like to help the world so I would have
something to live in when I am old and I can live in peace, harmony and in

Acid Pollution Smoke and gas given off by
factories, cars and lorries causes acid pollution. Gas and smoke are
usually produces when fuels such as coal and oil are burned. When fuel is burned it produces
energy. It also produces side effects. Fuel contain sulphur. When sulphur
combines with oxygen it produces sulphur dioxide. When a fuel engine gets
very hot, nitrogen and oxygen react together to form nitrogen oxides.
These are pollutants. They pour into the air along with smoke. They attack
the lungs and breathing tubes and cause diseases.
